So how about the London 2012 logo?

Well, I’ve been thinking of joining the herds and write something about the London 2012 Olympics logo, how I find it a prime example of bad typography, a misplaced effort to be “young, dynamic, and edgy” and not representative at all of the city I live in. But then again, I would just repeat whats been said in the press over and over again these past few weeks, so I’m not going to.

    I completely agree.
P.S. I was reading an article in Ping Mag about “new rave” (a new music/fashion fad that started in the UK) and was wondering if Wolff Olins were just trying to create a reference to it (bright, electric colors, angular and edgy, 80’s-inspired type). Obviously it’s not working (even if they did), but I feel like they still owe the world an explanation.

Hey Axl, I was thinking the same thing last night! The whole nu rave thing is taking blatant proportions.
